Dr. Ian Matthews, ChemOvation’s CEO, helped form the company in
1999, backed by the Novartis Venture fund.
The company started to
manufacture and supply large numbers of novel chemical compounds
to companies for evaluation in their Research & Development
departments. Contract research projects to undertake specific
chemistries were also won.

In early 2001 ChemOvation merged with KuDOS
pharmaceuticals. The company moved into new facilities
undertaking both drug discovery and development for the
KuDOS oncology programme, and offering a growing range
of similar services externally to major pharmaceutical
and biotechnology customers.

In
February 2005, ChemOvation spun out from KuDOS and in
March 2006 moved to newly built laboratory and office
facilities outside Horsham, West Sussex, UK. Here highly
skilled and experienced staff provide quality services.
It is now a dynamic independent business, highly focused
on customer drug discovery requirements.

Customers range from university departments to small
biotechnology companies to large pharmaceutical
companies, in the UK, Europe, USA and Japan. |
